Lottes and lottes of Dirty Plottes

Hooray, a bunch of comics arrived in the mail yesterday! They're by the super-talented Julie Doucet, who I'd heard of but never really dived into until recently. Her past stuff is very autobiographical and inspired by her dreams. I know, it's VERY strange that I of ALL people would be interested in someone who writes autobiographically. What the...?

Well, just look at her. She's painting her fingernails with her drawing ink in this crazy drawing.

She's upside down in this one.

There are four of her here.

She's in her socks, battling a clean freak in this one. (I love this cover. The safety-pin border, the olives jumping around, and the whole "Dirty Plotte vs. Super Clean Plotte" thing.)

Arty Plotte.

OK, maybe you've had enough of this. These are 6 of the 12 comics in the "Dirty Plotte" series, originally published in the early 90s. If you're interested in her stuff, check out her recent book My Most Secret Desire, which you can get at good old Forbidden Planet, among other places.
